Features & Advantages

★ Dual Spring Suspension for Shock Absorption — Two heavy-duty coil springs are built into the bracket to absorb shocks, vibrations and impact loads before they reach the wheel, bracket or your equipment. This protects both the caster and the load, giving smooth, low-vibration movement even on rough or uneven floors.

Installation Height: 240 mm — the 8″ diameter gives this size the maximum clearance in the A05 range, rolling easily over debris, floor seams and uneven surfaces.

50 mm wide flat tread keeps the full contact patch on the floor for stability and even load distribution, without the bulk of an extra-wide wheel.

Shore A 70 rubber tread absorbs shock and vibration while resisting cutting, chunking and abrasion from everyday industrial floors.

Aluminium core bonded to the rubber tread — lightweight, non-rusting, and unable to delaminate under load (see core comparison below).

5.5 mm hot-dip galvanized steel bracket — shock-resistant strength plus corrosion protection in humid and wash-down environments.

6203 sealed precision ball bearing for smooth, low-resistance rolling and maintenance-free operation in normal service.

Application Scenarios — Where the 8 inch (200 mm) Size Is Used

Heavy machinery & transformer — Transformer & switchgear dollies, generator-component carts, heavy electrical-equipment movers.

Steel & heavy fabrication — Steel-coil transfer cars, heavy welding tables, structural-steel assembly jigs.

Foundry, forging & rolling mill — Ladle transfer cars, ingot / billet trolleys, rolling-mill roll-changing carts (indoor, dry).

Material & Build Advantages

Rubber Tread — Shore A 70

Shore A 70 is a resilient, medium-soft rubber compound — the ideal balance between load support and shock absorption. It cushions loads, rolls smoothly and quietly, grips the floor well, and resists cutting, chunking, abrasion and deformation under sustained load.

Naturally shock-absorbing and self-lubricating for low rolling resistance and quiet operation.

Resists oils, greases and most industrial chemicals better than natural soft rubber.

Non-marking black tread protects painted and epoxy floors.

Galvanized Steel Bracket — 5.5 mm Thick

5.5 mm formed steel plate handles shock loads without bending, cracking or de-welding — essential at 350 kg per caster.

Hot-dip galvanized finish forms a thick, bonded zinc coating that protects against rust, humidity, wash-down and cutting fluids — far superior to painted brackets.

Precision robotic welding on every load-bearing joint, with a reinforced 115 × 100 mm top plate and four 13 mm bolt holes for even stress distribution.

6203 Precision Ball Bearing

Sealed 6203 bearing (17 × 40 × 12 mm) selected for radial and impact loads, keeping dust, grit and moisture out while retaining lubrication — maintenance-free in normal service.

Dual Spring Suspension — Built-in Shock Absorption

The dual-spring configuration is especially valuable wherever loads are heavy, floors are imperfect, or the carried goods are sensitive to jolts — see the spring-related applications listed under this size's Application Scenarios below.

• Maintains stable load support within the caster's rated capacity.

• Improves operator comfort and safety when pushing heavy trolleys.

• Extends wheel, bearing and bracket service life by reducing peak impact forces.

• Protects shock-sensitive and fragile loads from vibration damage.

Key benefits of the dual-spring design:

How it works: when the caster rolls over floor seams, expansion joints, debris or uneven surfaces, the springs compress and deflect, absorbing the impact energy instead of transmitting it directly to the wheel core and equipment. Once the obstacle passes, the springs return the caster to its neutral riding height.

Unlike standard rigid casters, the A05 series is equipped with a Dual Spring Suspension system: two calibrated coil springs work in the bracket to cushion vertical shocks and horizontal vibrations generated during movement.

Why the 50 mm Wide Tread — And How It Differs From an Extra-Wide Wheel

What the 50 mm Width Does Well

Excellent manoeuvrability — a narrower contact patch means lower turning resistance, ideal for trolleys that must pivot and navigate tight aisles.

Lower overall wheel weight, so less push force and less strain on operators over a full shift.

Sufficient contact area for loads up to 350 kg per caster on normal concrete, epoxy and factory floors — stable and floor-friendly.

A smaller footprint fits compact equipment and tighter wheel housings where an extra-wide wheel simply will not mount.

More economical while still delivering cored-wheel strength and galvanized-bracket durability.

50 mm vs. Extra-Wide (75 mm) — The Difference

Contact patch & floor pressure: a 75 mm tread spreads the same load over roughly 50% more contact area, giving lower floor pressure (PSI). Choose 75 mm for very heavy, slow-moving loads or soft / delicate floors.

Lateral stability: the wider 75 mm wheel strongly resists tipping on tall, narrow loads. The 50 mm is best for lower-profile, well-balanced equipment.

Rolling resistance: under extreme loads the 75 mm deforms less and rolls more freely; at typical A05 loads (200–350 kg) the 50 mm is already highly efficient.

Application split: 50 mm = agile material handling, logistics, machinery and general industry; 75 mm = super-heavy transformer, mold, shipbuilding and foundry applications.

Aluminium Core vs. Iron (Steel) Core — What Each Does, Where Each Belongs

Both aluminium-core and iron-core (cast-iron / steel-centre) wheels use a metal centre to support the tread, but they are tuned for different priorities. Understanding the difference helps you pick the right caster for your floor, load and environment.

The Role of the Aluminium Core

Lightweight strength — aluminium gives the tread a rigid, load-supporting centre at a fraction of the weight of iron, reducing total caster and equipment weight.

Corrosion resistance — aluminium does not rust, making it ideal for humid, wet, wash-down and outdoor-yet-moderate environments.

Heat dissipation — the metal core draws heat away from the tread during continuous rolling, helping the rubber run cooler and last longer.

Smooth, quiet ride — rubber over aluminium absorbs vibration and protects painted and epoxy floors from marking.

Permanent bond — the rubber tread is cast directly onto the aluminium centre and cannot delaminate under load the way a glued tyre can.

Aluminium Core vs. Iron (Steel) Core — Side by Side

Aspect

Prone to rust unless coated; needs protection

Load capacity

Medium-heavy (A05: 200–350 kg per caster)

Heavy to super-heavy (often 500 kg and above)

Floor protection

Rubber tread is non-marking and gentle

Often paired with PP / PU; harder on delicate floors

Ride & noise

Quiet, shock-absorbing, low vibration

Stiffer; more vibration transmitted to load

Heat dissipation

Good — aluminium conducts heat away

Good — iron also conducts well

Cost

Mid-range

Typically lower material cost but heavier

Application Limits & Where Each Should (and Should Not) Be Used

Aluminium core — best for: workshops, warehouses, logistics, food & beverage (dry zones), retail, assembly lines, machinery bases, medium-heavy mold / die handling, light foundry and fabrication — anywhere you want light weight, corrosion resistance and floor-friendly rubber.

Aluminium core — limits: not for extremely heavy (multi-tonne) loads, high-temperature processes, or applications requiring the absolute maximum capacity — that is where iron / steel core takes over.

Iron / steel core — best for: super-heavy, slow-moving loads such as transformers, heavy molds, shipbuilding bogies, steel mills and foundries where maximum capacity and heat resistance matter more than weight.

Iron / steel core — limits: heavier, can rust without coating, and the harder tread options are less gentle on delicate or coated floors.
