Product Overview
The 4 inch (100 mm) A05 heavy-duty aluminium core rubber caster is rated for up to 200 kg per caster — a combined 800 kg system load in a standard four-caster setup. With a 50 mm tread, Shore A 70 rubber, a 5.5 mm thick galvanized steel bracket and 6203 sealed bearing, it is engineered for smooth, quiet, floor-friendly rolling under sustained industrial loads. Available in Rigid (Fixed), Swivel and Swivel + Brake configurations to match your exact steering and locking requirements.

Dual Spring Suspension — Built-in Shock Absorption
The dual-spring configuration is especially valuable wherever loads are heavy, floors are imperfect, or the carried goods are sensitive to jolts — see the spring-related applications listed under this size's Application Scenarios below.
Key benefits of the dual-spring design:
How it works: when the caster rolls over floor seams, expansion joints, debris or uneven surfaces, the springs compress and deflect, absorbing the impact energy instead of transmitting it directly to the wheel core and equipment. Once the obstacle passes, the springs return the caster to its neutral riding height.
Unlike standard rigid casters, the A05 series is equipped with a Dual Spring Suspension system: two calibrated coil springs work in the bracket to cushion vertical shocks and horizontal vibrations generated during movement.

Why the 50 mm Wide Tread — And How It Differs From an Extra-Wide Wheel
What the 50 mm Width Does Well
50 mm vs. Extra-Wide (75 mm) — The Difference
Aluminium Core vs. Iron (Steel) Core — What Each Does, Where Each Belongs
Both aluminium-core and iron-core (cast-iron / steel-centre) wheels use a metal centre to support the tread, but they are tuned for different priorities. Understanding the difference helps you pick the right caster for your floor, load and environment.
The Role of the Aluminium Core
![]()
Aluminium Core vs. Iron (Steel) Core — Side by Side
| Aspect | Aluminium Core (this A05 series) | Iron / Steel Core |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | Light — lowers total equipment weight and push force | Heavy — adds significant mass to wheel and equipment |
| Corrosion | Naturally rust-proof (ideal wet / humid use) | Prone to rust unless coated; needs protection |
| Load capacity | Medium-heavy (A05: 200–350 kg per caster) | Heavy to super-heavy (often 500 kg and above) |
| Floor protection | Rubber tread is non-marking and gentle | Often paired with PP / PU; harder on delicate floors |
| Ride & noise | Quiet, shock-absorbing, low vibration | Stiffer; more vibration transmitted to load |
| Heat dissipation | Good — aluminium conducts heat away | Good — iron also conducts well |
| Cost | Mid-range | Typically lower material cost but heavier |
